This work package aims to secure the future skills of seafarers through the design and testing of a cross-national sustainable shipping Master Programme within a network of European Maritime Academies.
The main important subject within the programme will be the management of operational activities at sea with focus on the interaction between societal interests, human actors, onboard technology and health and safety for involved people in harmony with a sustainable environment.
The public concerned by the various actions, presented below, will be higher education institutions, especially Maritime Academies.
The work will mainly be to put together a curriculum, get the first programme started and to evaluate the result. These actions will include members from European Maritime Education and Training (MET) institutions.
