Students enrolling in this unique Master Programme in Europe will benefit from innovative modules specially developed by teachers and European experts recognized for their expertise, that will allow them to create a pioneering network in Europe.
In order to improve quality of education and training in the maritime transport sector to address three challenges: maritime safety, reducing environmental impact and increasing competitiveness of the sector, the EU VASCO DA GAMA project has developed its own MASTER PROGRAMME dedicated to students of maritime academies as well as officers wishing to upgrade/increase their awareness in this regard.
The Master Programme will take place from January 2015 to June 2015 in the Linnaeus University (Kalmar Maritime Academy, Sweden).
Application to the Vasco da Gama master programme are opened up to 15th, December 2014 (more information on the 4 blocks dedicated to the syllabi).
Prerequisites: 180 ECTS credits in a relevant area of maritime science, and English language skills corresponding to English B, IELTS or TOEFL.
Please note that the date of October 15th mentioned on the Admission page do not concern the VDG Master Programme (deadline December 15th).

Tuition fees do NOT apply for EU/EEA cizitens or exchange students.
The Master Programme is composed of 4 syllabi specifically developed by experts from different European maritime academies, and EU transport and educational actors. Each module will count for 7,5 credits.All the classes will be delivered in English by teachers of Kalmar Maritime Academy and external lecturers (experts, professionals).
The 4 modules of the Master Programme will be run in parallel from January to June 2015.
